Project Description

This house is set to challenge the perceptions of rural houses – it provides an exciting architectural vision of sustainability with dramatic exterior and interior spatial expression, using abundant natural finishes. It is set into an elevated hillside location, close to the idyllic country village of Berry.

Using a rich palette of low stone walling of earth colours, complemented by expressed timber framing, slotting, panelling and refined detailing, the house creates a warm and inviting texture. The house sits comfortably in the Bundewallah Valley landscape, amid carefully planned landscaped grounds that provide the perfect environment for relaxation and enjoyment of the natural wonders of the locality.
